Tourists who come to Rijeka by train then continue their trip by bus to further Croatian destinations. There are <strong>no direct trains<\/strong> connecting these two cities.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There are up to <strong>2 regular all-year-round departures <\/strong>operated by <strong>Ceske drahy<\/strong>. On both trains, it is required to change trains up to 4 times. The route is usually operated by the following types of trains:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Railjet (RJ) trains<\/li>\r\n<li>EuroCity (EC) trains<\/li>\r\n<li>Fast trains<\/li>\r\n<li>Regular trains<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The waiting time between trains varies from a few minutes to several hours. Accordingly, the overall journey takes about 20-21 hours.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There is also a <strong>seasonal train <\/strong>operating between Prague and Rijeka. This train is operated by <strong>RegioJet<\/strong>, it runs during the summer season and makes a stop in the following cities:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Czech Republic: Pardubice, Brno, B\u0159eclav<\/li>\r\n<li>Slovakia: Bratislava<\/li>\r\n<li>Hungary: Csorna<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once in Croatia, <strong>buses<\/strong> operate from Rijeka train station to different Croatian cities such as Opatija, Pula, Rovinj, Pore\u010d, Krk, Zadar, Biograd, Makarska, \u0160ibenik, Primo\u0161ten, Trogir and Split.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3>Tickets<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A regular ticket for a train that runs all year round <strong>depends on the date and departure<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The price of a RegioJet seasonal train ticket starts <strong>from \u20ac22 <\/strong>for a wagon with seats.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Alternatively, you can always take a <a href=\"https:\/\/getbybus.com\/en\/bus-prague-to-rijeka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bus from Prague to Rijeka<\/a> and save a lot of time.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"pra-spl\">Prague &#8211; Split<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There is <strong>no direct train <\/strong>from Prague to Split, but it is possible to travel this route with several train changes. Therefore, travelling between these two cities is not the most popular option.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>First, you need to take a train from Prague to Zagreb, as described in the first section. Then, you can continue from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.traincroatia.com\/en\/zagreb-split\/\">Zagreb to Split by train<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>An estimated total travelling time is <strong>around 18 hours<\/strong>, not including the waiting time in between. An estimated total price of all tickets is not under <strong>\u20ac75<\/strong>, depending on the train ticket which varies from departure to departure.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As an alternative, you can take a <a href=\"https:\/\/getbybus.com\/en\/bus-prague-to-split\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bus from Prague to Split<\/a> and save some time and money.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"pra-dub\">Prague &#8211; Dubrovnik<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There is <strong>no train from Prague to Dubrovnik<\/strong>, although travelling between these two cities is popular. However, getting from Prague by train is possible only to Split (changing a train in Zagreb). The railway in Croatia stops in Split so there is <strong>no further train connection to Dubrovnik<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Anyway, if for some reason you want to travel from Prague to Dubrovnik by using the train as much as possible, here is how to do it:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>First, you need to travel <strong>from Prague to Zagreb<\/strong>, and then <strong>to Split<\/strong>, as explained in the previous sections.<\/li>\r\n<li>As there is no further train connection, consider alternative options to get<a href=\"https:\/\/www.traincroatia.com\/en\/split-dubrovnik\/\"> from Split to Dubrovnik<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>An estimated <strong>total travelling time is around 22-23 hours<\/strong>, not including the waiting time in between.
