The Czech railway company Regiojet<\/strong> has started selling tickets for this season’s railway line from Prague to Rijeka<\/a>, but from this year also to Split<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Namely, this year, as already announced last year, Regiojet re-introduced a very successful railway line from the Czech capital, which last year connected Prague and Bratislava with Rijeka<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year, the route has been slightly changed, so Regiojet’s trains will pass through Budapest<\/strong> and Zagreb<\/a> on their route from Prague<\/strong> via Bratislava<\/strong>, and continue on towards Rijeka<\/a> and, according to the new one, towards Split<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trains will depart on the 28th of May and run until the 27th of September, arriving in Croatia daily in July and August, and three times a week in May, June and September, departing from Prague\/Bratislava on Fridays, Sundays and Tuesdays and returning from Croatia on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays.<\/p>\n

Rail connections will have a similar timetable as last year. Departures from Prague are in the afternoon at 04:46 pm, from Bratislava at 09:17 pm and from Budapest five minutes after midnight.<\/p>\n

The novelty is a much larger number of bus connections<\/strong>, so passengers in Rijeka, Gra\u010dac and Split will be met by buses that will continue to reach practically all destinations on the Croatian coast – from Istria to Dubrovnik<\/strong>. In addition, buses will connect the resorts of Kotor in Montenegro<\/strong> and Neum in Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

High demand and affordable prices<\/h3>\n

Tickets for Regiojet’s trains were therefore put on sale a few weeks ago, and judging by last year’s experience, demand will be high. The Regiojet hopes that Croatian citizens will also use this opportunity.<\/p>\n

And like last year, ticket prices are extremely affordable<\/strong>. Namely, a one-way ticket to Rijeka in a car with seats that includes reservations and all services can be obtained from 22,9 euros, while the price of a ticket for sleeping cars starts from 30,9 euros.<\/p>\n

On the route to Split, prices start at 34,9 euros for a seat and 41,9 euros for a trip in a sleeping compartment.<\/p>\n

RegioJet trains to Croatia operated for the first time last year during the summer season. In total, they carried more than 60,000 passengers<\/strong>. The average occupancy of the lines was more than 90%,<\/strong> meaning trains operated with a capacity of 500 to 560 passengers per line.<\/p>\n

This completely new line was also a great gain for this private Czech transport company, considering that, in the year when Europe also faced restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, it became their most successful new route in terms of demand.<\/p>\n
