Osijek Main Train Station is where most passengers board or arrive when travelling to Osijek by train. The station is easy to spot and is located close to the main city sites. There are many facilities in and around the train station.

Location and getting there

Osijek Main Train Station is located about 20 minutes walking distance from the city centre and its main sights. The station is a big old building with a sign KOLODVOR on the front facade. Only about 2 minutes down the street from the train station is also the main bus station. Getting to the train station is easy by public transport, a tram line 2 stops right in front of the station. Alternatively, bus lines such as No. 2 and No. 10 pass close to the train station. Public transport is operated by GPP Osijek, the train station is located within zone 1, therefore the ticket costs about 11 HRK (~ 1.5€).

It serves as an alternative station for some passengers who find it more suitable to board or get off the train in that area. Trains that stop at this station go to and from the direction of Erdut municipality, and eventually Serbia.

The building itself is small and doesn’t offer much amenities and facilities to the passengers. Some restaurants and supermarkets can be found nearby the station. However, don’t expect too much in this area, which is why it is recommended to board the train at the main train station. Passengers who board the train here can buy the train tickets on board. Getting to the station is easy by public transport. Bus lines such as 3A, 4, 4A, 5, 7 make a stop in front of the station. 

Osijek Dravski Most station

Osijek Dravski Most train station is located in the city centre, right next to Tvrđa and about 20 minutes from the main train station. At the spot, you will notice a building that is in a bad condition and not in use. Therefore, no facilities are available around the station, but it can serve as an alternative for boarding or getting off the train. Trains that stop here usually go to and from the direction of Beli Manastir, and eventually Hungary. Tickets can be bought on board. 

Getting to the train station is easy by public transportation. Tram line No.1 makes a stop next to the station. 

Osijek Luka station

Osijek Luka train station is located in the eastern part of Osijek, about 30 minutes from the city centre and Tvrđa. This is just a train stop without any facilities on the spot, it is situated in the plain field. Trains that stop here also go in the direction of Erdut, and eventually Serbia. 

Getting to this station is easy by public transport. Bus lines 3A, 4A, 5 take you there from other parts of the city. Passengers can buy tickets onboard.

Osijek OLT station

Osijek OLT train station is located only about 10 minutes from the city centre on foot. Right behind it is a cemetery. This is also just a station without any facilities on the spot. Trains that stop here go in the direction of Erdut and Serbia. Passengers can buy tickets onboard.

Frigis-Osijek station

Frigis-Osijek train station is the only station located in the western part of Osijek, at the outskirts of the city. Therefore, it can serve as an alternative station for those departing to or arriving from the direction of Zagreb. You won’t find any facilities around besides various equipment stores. Tickets are bought on board. 

Petrove Gore station

Petrove Gore train station is also just a train stop for trains travelling to and from the direction of Zagreb. You won’t find many facilities around, but a grocery store and a cafe are located nearby. Passengers buy the tickets onboard.

Vodovod station

Vodovod train station is another train stop with no facilities on spot. Passengers buy tickets onboard. This station serves as an alternative for those travelling to and from Zagreb. The station is situated away from Osijek centre, so don’t expect many facilities around either.

Standard station

Standard train station is located between the stations Osijek Donji Grad and Osijek Luka, therefore it serves as an alternative station for those passengers travelling to and from Erdut. There are no facilities on spot or around the station and tickets are bought on board.

For anyone continuing their journey by bus, here are the details on how to reach the bus station from the main train station.

The main bus station in Osijek is located only about a minute walk from the main train station. Therefore, getting to the bus station is best on foot, even if you carry a lot of luggage. 

From other train stations and train stops in Osijek, it is possible to reach the bus station via public transport. However, since the bus station and main train station are located close to each other, we assume you won’t use any other train stop but rather travel to the main train station in order to catch a bus.
