Most bus lines operated by Promet Split make a stop here including lines 2, 2A, 3, 5, 5A, 8, 9, 11, 15, 17 and 18. A single ticket is valid for 45 minutes and costs 11 HRK (~€1.40).

Since all means of transportation use this location as a departure and arrival point, often crowds are expected, especially in the peak-season. Walking to the train station is recommended if you don’t carry too much luggage, since most of the main historical sights such as the Diocletian’s Palace are located nearby.

Train Station to Bus Station

For anyone continuing their journey by bus, here are the details on how to reach the bus station from each train station.

The main train station and the main bus station are two buildings next to each other, so passengers can easily continue their journey by bus.

From Split Predgradje, passengers can reach the central bus station by car or a public transport. Bus lines that connect these two stations are no. 3 and no. 2A

There is a metro line going from Split Predgradje station to bus station. However, if you are arriving to Split by train, you will eventually end up at the main train station. Since Split Main Train Station is located next to the main bus station, passengers can reach or arrive from Split Airport by taking a shuttle bus. It departs every 30 minutes in both directions and a one-way ticket costs 30 HRK (~€4). The journey to and from the airport usually takes around 30 minutes but it can take longer during the summer months.

From Split Predgradje station passengers can reach the airport by public transport. At Split Airport, the city bus stop is located on the closest road, right in front of the terminal building, about a 2-3 minute walk from the entrance.
