RegioJet connects Prague with Zagreb, Rijeka and Split in 2021

After last year’s excellent results and a large number of transported passengers, the largest Central European private railway carrier RegioJet from the Czech Republic is introducing a line to Croatia this year as well.

The first ride is planned for Friday, May 28, 2021. It will run on the new route Prague – Brno – Bratislava – Budapest – Zagreb – Rijeka or Split. Many passengers will have access to other Croatian destinations because special bus lines will run from the railway station in Rijeka, Split and Gračac, which will connect all major holiday destinations on the Croatian coast, from Istria to Dubrovnik.

“We are very pleased with the continuation of the excellent cooperation between the Croatian National Tourist Board and RegioJet which will continue to operate in Croatia this year. The great interest of the Czechs in the new lines from Prague, Brno and Bratislava to Croatia has already been expressed through the first reservations. Let me remind you that last year’s line from Prague to Rijeka transported more than 60,000 passengers in both directions in less than three months, and the average occupancy of the lines was an excellent 90%, while Rijeka itself more than doubled the number of Czech tourists last year and this train certainly contributed to it.”

– Dubravko Miholić, Director of the CNTB Representation for the Czech Republic and Slovakia

RegioJet has already started pre-booking tickets at attractive prices while the start of sales is expected in mid-February. A one-way ticket in a wagon with a seat will cost about 22 euros, while a ticket for a ride in a wagon with beds will cost about 30 euros. The line will operate three times a week during June and September, while in July and August the line will operate daily.
